This Privacy Policy aims to inform you how TJ-Tronics Systems or a TJ-Tronics partner company (in general „TJ-Tronics“) manage your personal data when you use our website, use TJ-Tronics Component4 or interact personaly with us. TJ-Tronics may also provide links to third party providers on our platform. The TJ-Tronics Privacy Policy does not apply to how third parties define or use personal data. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of third parties and familiarize yourself with your privacy rights before interacting with them. In the following, we inform you about the collection of your personal data when you use our website or our offers. According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personal data is all information that can be related to you personally, such as name, address, e-mail address, user behavior.
The controller responsible for data processing pursuant to Art. 4 (7) GDPR is TJ-Tronics Systems GmbH, Holderweg 7, 42579 Heiligenhaus (hereinafter referred to as "TJ-Tronics"). For data protection inquiries, please contact us at pivacy@tj-tronics.com. When you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the data you provide (your e-mail address, your name and telephone number, if applicable, and the content of your message) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context after storage is no longer required, or restrict processing if there are statutory retention obligations.
1. What, when and why do we collect your information?
1.1. Website Visitors
In cases of purely informational use of our website, we collect the following personal data transmitted by your browser to our server for the purpose of providing the website content accessed by you and ensuring the security of the IT infrastructure used. This data also helps with troubleshooting and enables a more efficient and user-friendly search on the website. The following personal data is transmitted from your browser to our server:
- IP-Address
- Date and time of access incl. time zone
- URL of the request
- HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred in each case
- Website from which the request came (referrer URL)
- User-Agent String, including information about the browser, its version, language and operating system
The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in operating an internet presence to provide information about our services and events in accordance with Article 6 para 1 lit. f) GDPR.
The data is automatically provided by the browser of the website visitor. The processing of your data is technically necessary. Therefore, it is not possible to use the website without disclosing the listed personal data.
1.2. Customers of TJ-Tronics
You may be an merchant or service provider with an account on our platform. If you sign up to become one of our customers by entering into an agreement with TJ-Tronics, we collect information we need to establish and perform a contract with you.
This includes your contact information, address, ID documentation, tax information or payment details. We use this information to set up our products and services for you, including support, onboarding, integration to our platform, helping you with setup up our platform, and other actions which need to be taken to establish or perform our contract with you. In addition, we use your information for our legitimate interest of managing our internal administration and for complying with our legal obligations, such as KYC and taxation obligations.
In addition to the above disclosures, we may share your personal information to respond to lawful requests from law enforcement or other government authorities.
We also collect data about your use of our products and services and your customer account, including your login details, and the questions, queries, comments and complaints you send or share with us in relation to our business relationship. We process this data to be able to perform our contract with you by following up with you and providing you with support and for our legitimate interest of being able to optimize and improve our products and services.
We can also use your (corporate) e-mail address for keeping you up-to-date with our products and services; making you offers tailored to your needs (meaning similar products and services you have already purchased from us); or inviting you to events.
We have an obligation to act in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and to prevent fraud, money laundering and financing terrorism. Therefore, if you are signu up as our customer and during the performance of our agreement, we will need to collect up to date information and documents to:
- Verify your identity
- Identify the ultimate beneficial owners of your business
- Identify the purpose and intended nature of your future business relationship with us
- Monitor your behaviour and transactions across the Component4 platform using automated systems which detect risks and verify the origins of your capital/assets
- Check whether a natural person representing you is competent to do so (and verify the identity of this person); and
- Check whether you act on behalf of yourself or on behalf of a third party.
TJ-Tronics processes your personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide you with the services pursuant to any agreement between TJ-Tronics and yourself
- To improve our products and services
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
- To conduct analysis for statistical, strategic and scientific purposes
- To protect our platform, systems and services from misuse, fraud, financial crimes or other unauthorised or illegal activity including the prevention, investigation and detection of (payment) fraud on the basis of legitimate interest and
- For reporting and training purposes
3. How long we keep your data
We generally store your data for as long as we reasonably require this data for the aforementioned purposes.
The aforementioned retention period may be longer if we are required by applicable law or in the course of our business to retain data for longer. If we need to retain information for longer to pursue our legitimate interests, we will retain the information required for this purpose until the relevant claim(s) has/have been resolved.
4. Use of cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies such as tags/beacons and javascripts, which are small text files that are stored on your device. By using cookies, we can ensure that our website is continuously improved and meets your needs. We therefore use functional cookies to make our website work.
5. To whom we forward your data
We need the help of third parties to be able to offer you our website and our products and services. Where necessary we will disclose your information to our service providers and professional advisers (e.g. IT providers, KYC partners, payment providers, analysts and legal service providers).
If you are a customer on our platform, your data will be forwarded to service providers on the platform from whom you have purchased services or products so that they can fulfill their contract. This includes name, billing address, if applicable your tax number for business customers, delivery address, e-mail and telephone number for possible queries. The transfer also serves the purpose of invoicing the seller.
If you are a seller on our platform, the data in your legal notice (address, telephone number, e-mail) will be passed on to your potential customers so that they can contact you.
All payment transactions on our platform are processed by the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (SPEL) 1 Grand Canal Street Lower Grand Canal Dock Dublin D02 H210 Irland (Stripe). This corresponds to our legitimate interest in offering an efficient and secure payment method (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). In this context, we pass on the following data to Stripe insofar as it is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. GDPR).

- Bank details
- Credit card details
- Credit card expiry date
- Credit card verification number (CVC)
- Date and time of the transaction
- Transaction amount
- Name of the provider
- Location
SStripe assumes a dual role as controller and processor for data processing activities. As the controller, Stripe uses your transmitted data to fulfill regulatory obligations. This corresponds to Stripe's legitimate interest (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and serves the performance of the contract (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). We have no influence on this process.
Stripe acts as a processor in order to complete transactions within the payment networks. Within the scope of the order processing relationship, Stripe acts exclusively in accordance with our instructions and has been contractually obliged to comply with the data protection regulations within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR.
Stripe has implemented compliance measures for international data transfers. These apply to all global activities where Stripe processes personal data of natural persons in the EU. These measures are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

IYour data will be stored by us until payment processing has been completed. This also includes the period required for the processing of refunds, receivables management and fraud prevention.
Otherwise, we will not pass on your data to third parties unless you have given us your consent, if this is necessary in connection with the aforementioned purposes or legal claims or if we are legally obliged to do so.
6. How we protect your data?
We are committed securing your personal data and have taken steps in this regard. In order to prevent unauthorized people or parties from being able to access your data, we have put in place a range of technical and organizational measures to safeguard and secure the information we process from you.
7. Interessenten und Anfragen via E-Mail
You can send us an inquiry at any time by email or using the contact form. If you make use of this option, we will process your e-mail address together with all the information you provide us with, such as first and last name and message content, for the purpose of exchanging communications.
The legal basis for this is initially your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and, if applicable, the initiation of a contractual relationship in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Inquiries and communications are stored in different ways depending on their content, but in the absence of a statutory retention period are deleted immediately after the purpose no longer applies.
8. General information and rights of the data subjects
Pursuant to Article 15 et seq. GDPR, you have the following rights concerning personal data about you:

- Right to rectification or deletion,
- Right to restriction of processing,
